The Ugly Duckling is currently being performed by Carolina Ballet at the Progress Energy Center for the Performing Arts in Raleigh. This a fast moving and colorful interpretation of Hans Christian Anderson's classic ably choreographed by Lynne Taylor-Corbett. Here's a few preview shots taken during the dress rehearsal.

The Ugly Duckling along with two other items "Flower Festival in Genzano" following the choreography of August Bournonville and a new Robert Weiss choreography set to Grieg's Piano Concerto, runs until March 6th.
