Carolina Ballet's The Nutcracker
Carolina Ballet is currently staging a completely reworked version of The Nutcracker. This is the first time for about 10 years that a full dress rehearsal has been held in order to update the photo portfolio. We took over 2000 images at the dress and are busy working through them now for Carolina Ballet to use in future publicity materials. Due to popular demand here's a few preview shots for viewing over the Christmas holiday.

Aussie Times
Here's an advertisement that I designed for the Australian Shepherd Health & Genetics Institute. It's in the March - April 2011 edition of the 'Aussie Times' and will appear in one or two other journals later in the year. It's good to be able to contribute to a worthy cause!

Bug Calendar
The Entomological Society of America has just published its 2011 calendar in which I had three images selected this year. The scan quality is not so great, but I can assure you the actual calendar looks good. Insect photography is a keen interest of mine since student days. From left to right the bugs are: a Swamp Cicada, a Blue Dasher Dragonfly and a Scaly Bee Fly. All three were photographed in my garden in North Carolina.
